Penne Sue Sunleaf 1942-2004

A Memorial luncheon for Penelope Sue Sunleaf, 62, formerly of the Quad Cities in Iowa and most recently of Coconut Creek, Florida, will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Tanglewood Hills Pavilion 4250 Middle Road in Bettendorf, Iowa from 12:00 to 3:00pm.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice in Penne Sunleaf’s name c/o 1111 17th Ave., Coralville, Iowa.

Penne Sunleaf died May 23, 2004 of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). She had lived in Florida since 1986, prior to that she lived in Davenport and Bettendorf Iowa. She most recently worked for the City of Miami until 1997. Penne was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed going to movies, dancing and socializing with family and friends. She had a wonderful attitude on life and helped others until the time of her death.

Survivors include her two sons, and their wives, Samuel Zev Sunleaf and Sarah Runkel and their three children all of Coralville, Iowa, son, E Stanley Sunleaf and Renee Heitman-Sunleaf, of Arlington Heights, Il, one sister, Nancy (Mrs. Mort) Kaplan of Moine, IL and one brother, Fred Shamon and his wife Linda of Morrison, IL.

Her parents, George and Lee Shamon and one brother, Terry Shamon all preceded her in death.
