Cecil C. Randall Jr., age 81 of 2906 Meadowbrook Drive S.E., Cedar Rapids died Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at his home of an apparent heart attack.

At Cecil’s request, no services are planned; burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City is caring for Cecil’s family and his arrangements.

Cecil was born April 23, 1923 in Brandon, Iowa the son of Cecil and Parma (Bauer) Randall. Following graduation from Iowa City City High School, he attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Here he learned the skills of watch making. During World War II Cecil served in the United States Army. On December 1, 1943, he married Geraldine Killian. He worked in a number of jewelry stores in the Cedar Rapids area for many years, including Newton’s Jewelry Store, which he managed.

His family includes his wife, Geraldine, and a couple of nieces.
