David A. Pishko, 61 of Coralville died suddenly Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10: 00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Iowa City. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. at Lensing’s Oak Hill Funeral Home 210 Holiday Road, Coralville. A Vigil will be held at 7:30. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials are being accepted in David’s Name to Bishop Carroll Catholic High School in Wichita, Kansas.

David was born April 4, 1943 in Syracuse, New York the son of Alexander and Frances (Siedlicki) Pishko. On June 18, 1966 he married Marie Zupancic in Cleveland, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Mississippi and later a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of North Dakota. He held various pilot and instructor ratings. His professional career spanned over thirty five years during which time he had the opportunity to work with many leaders of the aviation industry. In turn he imparted his passion on the future leaders of aviation. Most recently he worked as the Director of Corporate Marketing Communications for Rockwell Collins.

He is survived by his wife Marie of Coralville, Iowa, his four children; Christina Pishko of Dallas; Texas, Gregory Pishko and his wife Susan Mulligan of Phoenix; Arizona, Amanda and her husband David Kazarian of Las Vegas; Nevada, Mitchell Pishko and his wife Kristi of Wichita, Kansas; he is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica, Allison, Claire and Spencer. His family was his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
