MaryAnn (Kling) England, 76, of Baxter, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care, 107 N. Main St, in Baxter. Her memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care, in Baxter, at 11:00 a.m. A private family burial will be held at the Palo Alto Cemetery in Reasnor, Iowa.
She was born in Newton, Iowa on January 2, 1948, to Robert and Eva (Murphy) Kling. MaryAnn grew up in Newton where she attended Newton High School and graduated with the class of 1966. After school, she attended beauty college. She worked at Pearson Drugstore in Newton as a pharmacy technician. In 1984, she moved to Baxter where she worked at the Card Depot and Brannen’s Grocery Store. In 2006, she married David England in Baxter. The couple resided in Baxter and enjoyed wintering in San Benito, Texas.
MaryAnn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, Hawkeye football, NASCAR, camping, road trips with her girls, social hours, and time with her grandkids. She always had a smile on her face and loved to laugh and dance. MaryAnn was well known as the most caring and loving person and will be missed by all who was blessed to know her.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are her husband David England of Baxter, IA; children Judd Penny of Winterset, IA, Jolie Penny Gulling of Hills, IA, and Todd (Lynae) England of Baxter, IA; grandchildren Kennedy (Zach Boyd) Gulling, Ash England, and Austin England; great-grandchild LJ Boyd; brothers-in-law Dale (Julie) England and Robert (Diana) England; sisters-in-law Sharon (Harvey) Varnum and Sandra Jackson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brothers Ronald and Kent; and her beloved dog Tequila Marie.
Memorial contributions may be directed to her family.
Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care in Baxter has been entrusted with the care of MaryAnn and her family.
