Arthur L. Oswalt Dies here Today
A heart attack this morning took the life of Arthur L. Oswalt, 45, bus driver for the Newton Independent School district. He entered Skiff Memorial hospital at 5:15 a.m. and died at 6 a.m.
Mr. Oswalt has lived in Newton a little more than two years.
Born Jan. 31, 1908, at Connelville, Mo., he was the son of Michael and Mary Oswalt.
Survivors include his wife; six children, LeRoy, Linda, Jimmy, Gene and Evelyn, all of Newton, and Mary Lou of Portland, Ore.; four brothers and three sisters. A brother and sister preceded him in death.
Funeral rites are pending word from the daughter in Oregon. Toland Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements, and burial will be at McKeever cemetery.

Plan Funeral Friday For Arthur L. Oswalt
Funeral services for Arthur L. Oswalt, 45, Newton man who died Tuesday morning at Skiff Memorial hospital, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Toland Funeral Home.
Officiating will be the Rev. R. C. Kruschwitz, pastor of First Baptist church, and burial will be in McKeever cemetery north of Colfax. Mr. Oswalt, who was a school bus driver here, is survived by his wife and six children.

Williamson News – Mr. and Mrs. Mel Buckalew, Mrs. Robert Buckalew attended the funeral of Arthur Oswalt at Newton Friday. He was a brother-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Mel Buckalew, who died suddenly from a heart attack. Burial was at Colfax. Williamson friends extend sympathy to wife and family.
