Margaret Gibson Funeral Today At Colfax
Colfax (Special) – Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Jane Gibson, 74, a resident of Colfax for the past 11 years, were held at the Catholic church this morning. Mrs. Gibson died Wednesday at Mercy hospital in Des Moines.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Vern (Vera) Schmitt of Colfax, Mrs. Harold (Eva) Maxwell of Des Moines, Mrs. Melvin (Margaret) Guy of Mitchellville, and Mrs. Orville (Freda) Teed, of Colfax; four sons, William and Francis of Colfax, and George and Harry of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Ward and Mrs. Nellie Murray, both of Des Moines; and four brothers, George and Thomas Kennedy of Carbon Cliff, Ill., and John and James Kennedy, Gillespie, Ill.
Mrs. Gibson was born to John and Mary Kennedy Nov. 9, 1889, at Ackerson, Ill., and married George Gibson. She was a member of the Colfax Catholic church.
Pallbearers were Harry Ward, Ted McKeever, John Murray, and George, James and Paul Hill. In charge of flowers were Mrs. David Radford and Mrs. Elmer Seiroe.
Burial was in McKeever cemetery.
