2 Killed in Crash Of Truck, Train
Kellogg, IA. (AP) – Two Newton men were killed late Saturday when their truck, loaded with corn, was hit by a Rock Island freight train in downtown Kellogg about 8 miles east of Newton.
The victims were Hershel Wayne Walls, 30, and Ken Lavern Gregory, 29.
Walls was driving the truck, which was delivering a load of corn to a weighing station in Kellogg, officials said.
