G. Meckley Rites Today
Colfax, IA. (Special to The Daily News) – Funeral services for George Meckley of near Bondurant, Ia., who died following an automobile accident Sunday, were to be held at Elkhart Christian church this afternoon at 2 o’clock, with burial in the family lot in the Rorabaugh cemetery southeast of Colfax.
Mr. Meckley, 56, a bachelor farmer, was the youngest brother of E. S. Meckley of Colfax, former vice-president of a local bank.
The Bondurant man suffered fatal injuries in a head-on automobile collision on the intersection of a rural road a mile east and a mile south of Elkhart. His machine collided with a car driven by a Mrs. Garren, whose home is a half-mile from the scene of the accident.
Mr. Meckley died in the Des Moines Lutheran hospital. Mrs. Garren and her daughter were critically injured in the accident.
