Paschal, Nellie M. Castor – 1861-1930

Nellie M. Castor, daughter of Lewis and Sarah R. Castor, was born May 15, 1861, near Sigourney, Iowa, and died June 28 at the home of son V. C. Paschall at Fargo, N. Dak, having reached the age of 69 years, one month and thirteen days.
She was united in marriage to Chas. Paschal in 1887. To this union was born one son Vonnard. At the age of 20 she united with the Congregational church at Baxter and later transferred her membership to the Christian church at Oskaloosa. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge at Colfax.
Those left to mourn her loss are her son Vonnard, two sisters, Emma Heifner of Titonka, Iowa, Della Gearhart of Ira, and a brother, J. Seward Castor of Ira, besides many other relatives and friends.
Rev. Simmons of Mingo delivered the funeral sermon and the Rebecca Lode of Colfax had charge of the services. Pallbearers were Chas. Weston, Frank Rippey, John Miller, Jake Gearhart, Ralph Hunter and Zenas Jones.
Relatives in attendance from a distance were Mrs. Thos. Heifner and daughters, Mrs. Ed. Siveel, Mrs. Ola Michelson, Esther Askin of Titonka, Mrs. John Gebers and Mrs. Nellie Castor of Lincoln. Interment was made in the Union Chapel cemetery.
