Carrol Dale Baty, 99, went home to be with our Lord on January 14, 2017. He was a loving husband, father and friend.

Carrol was born April 26, 1917 in Newton, Iowa. He was the oldest son of Lola and Roy Baty of Newton. He had ten sisters, Rosemond, Lorraine, Mariam, Elda, Doris, Winona, Pauline, Faith, Dena, Junella and one brother, John. He enlisted in the Army on December 11, 1940 and served until October 15, 1945, attaining the rank of First Sergeant in the Military Police, First Service Company, Fort Douglas, Utah. He married Virgie E. Ulmer on December 20, 1945. The couple divorced and he married Marie Tietsort on May 21, 1971. Marie passed away and he married Florinda A. Lazo on August 25, 2003. they divorced and he reside in a retirement facility in Phoenix.

Carrol is survived by three sisters, Doris, Winona and Junella, one brother, John, five children, Roy, Scott, Donald, Carrolyn, and Cloren, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held January 23, 2017 at Green Acres Mortuary at 1 p.m.
