NEWTON YOUTH, 13, ELECTRUCUTED

A 13-year-old Newton youth, Allen Robson, was electrocuted shorty after 10 a.m. today while helping his father, John Robson Jr., 311 E. 23rd St. S., trim trees in the 300 block on East 19th St. S.

According to Fire Department ambulance personnel, the youth apparently came in contact with power lines, causing his almost immediate death.

He made his home with his mother, Mrs. Albert Lamb at 702 1st. Ave. E.

Funeral services are pending with Toland Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

YOUTH'S DEATH
RULED ACCIDNET;
RITES TUESDAY

Coroner Harold A. Van Hofwegen Friday ruled the death of Allen *John Robson, 13, [see note] as accidental electrocution.

Dr. Van Hofwegen said scratch marks on the youth made from branches indicated he fell from the tree after grabbing a power line with his right hand.

Allen was helping his father, John Robson Jr., trim trees in the 300 block on East 19th Street South Friday morning when the accident occurred.

Funeral services for the youth will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Toland Funeral Home.

The Rev. Ray Romain, minister of the Apostalic Faith Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Newton Memorial Park.

Friends may call in the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.

The youth, a student at Central Junior High School, is survived by two brothers, John Norman Robson III of Bolivar, Mo., and David Robson of Newton; a sister, Delores Diane Barber of Bolivar, Mo.; his father, John Robson and his mother, Mrs. Albert (Shirley) Lamb, both of Newton; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wahner of Grinnell and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Norman Robson of Newton.

He was a member of the Apostalic Faith Church.

A lifelong resident of Newton, he as born July 25, 1954 in Newton.

He resided with his mother at 702 First Ave. E.
