Marsha (Kay) Sneller, 70, passed away at Taylor House Aug. 20, 2016. The daughter of George and Gertrude (VanBaale) Trotter was born Dec. 18, 1945. She graduated from Newton in 1964. Kay worked at Cardinal Inn in Prairie City, for more than 30 years. For the past 11 years, she enjoyed providing daycare for two of her grandchildren.

Left to honor her memory is her daughter Brenda Curtis, her husband Phil, and their son Austin of Altoona; her daughter Shelly Schear and her two sons Alex and Zach of Altoona; her son, Rick Sneller, his wife Carissa, and their children Jenika and Traer of Monroe; two siblings, Mike Trotter of Des Moines and Marvel Trotter of Newton; and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents; four sisters, Marvis Vaughn, Marna Beach, Ruth Harger and Nada Allspach; her nephew, Christopher Trotter; one sister-in-law; and several brothers-in-law.

A Remembrance of Life service for Kay will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 at the Prairie City Community Park Building for anyone that would like to attend. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa 24 Aug 2016.
