Gale Butler Services Held April 27

Gale Butler, 56, of 12 Knollwood Place, Owatonna, Minn., a former Baxter resident, died Friday, April 23, at Abbott-Northwest Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, at the Owatonna Associated Church. The Rev. Theresa Roos conducted services. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife, Juanita; two sons, Kevin and Kent, both of Owatonna; a nephew-son, Bob Ayers; three daughters, Cheryl and Nicole, both of Owatonna, and Annette Hatch of Clarksville; and four grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers, Reid of Baxter and J.D. of Milford, Ill.; and a sister, Sherie McDermott.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Butler was production manager for Hitchcock Industries for 10 years and later he was employed by Jostens for 13 years.

He was a member of the Eagles, a life member of the Elks Lodge, and a social member of the Knights of Columbus.

The son of Fred and Florence Crawford Butler, he was born Nov. 13, 1936 in Baxter.

He was married to Juanita Irene Meier Jan. 27, 1956, in Baxter. Mr. Butler also had resided in Newton for eight years and in Owatonna for 18 years. ~ The Jasper County Tribune, Baxter, Iowa, April 1993.
