Cleo R. Faidley Rites Held Feb. 6

Cleo Raymond Faidley, 98, of Clearview Manor in Prairie City, died Wednesday, Feb 3, at the manor.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.

The Rev. John McKinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax conducted services.

Organist was Pat Evans.

Casket Bearers were: Donald Faidley, Frank Faidley, Brian Faidley, Bruce Faidley, Jerry Faidley, Allan Faidley and James Maxwell.

Survivors are two nieces and eight nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two nephews.

Mr. Faidley, a retired Maytag Co. employee, was an Army veteran of World War 1, serving in France.

The son of Levi William and Nora Ann Gooden, he was born Oct. 25, 1894 near Colfax and attended Colfax and Bear Grove Schools.

He was a lifelong Prairie City-Colfax resident.

Memorials to the Clearview Manor will be accepted. ~ The Jasper County Tribune, Colfax, Iowa, Thursday Feb. 11, 1993.
