Those left to honor Raymond’s life are his wife of 50 years, Marilyn of Newton; two sons, R. Christopher (Jody) Anderson of Newton and Jason P. (Brenda) Anderson of Newton; his four grandchildren, Meredith Anderson, Morgan Anderson, Spencer Anderson and Mya Anderson, all of Newton; step mother, Dot Anderson of Newton; his sister, Nancy Hassebroek of Buffalo Center, Iowa; and good friend, Dick Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lloyd Eugene Anderson; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Raymond was a graduate of Baxter High School in 1963.

Raymond was a progressive farmer and farmed his entire life north of Newton.

Raymond was a member of the Conerstone Bible Fellowship Church. Raymond loved his family. He enjoyed traveling, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, off road jeeping and he liked to go and target practice with his guns. Raymond never knew a stranger and he was a one of a kind prankster.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Hospice of Marion County or to the Skiff Medical Center Cancer Clinic. Memorials may be left at the church on the day of the visitation and service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.
