Ronald J. Deitrick, 69, passed away on March 29. An interment ceremony will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter followed by a reception at the Veterans Reception Center.

Ronald was born May 12, 1945 in Newton, IA to Howard and Junella Deitrick. He graduated from Newton Senior High in 1963 and served overseas during the Vietnam War. He married Beverly Ferguson on Oct 21, 1967. He spent most of his life in Central IA and recently spent winters in San Diego, CA enjoying his grandson and watching for whales.

He is survived by wife Beverly; children, Veronica, Christiana (Manuel) Acevedo, and Jessica (Andrew) Sheftel; grandson, Theodore; and brother, Clifton (Norma) Deitrick of Otley, IA.
