Mark Andrew Kingery, 42, of Des Moines died at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, as a result of cardiac arrest.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Dec. 2, at Iles Funeral Homes-Grandview Park Chapel where a vigil service will be at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3300 Easton Blvd., with burial at Dunreath Cemetery in Monroe, Iowa.
Mark was born on Feb. 23, 1968, in Key West, Fla., but spent his life in the Des Moines area. He attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and graduated from Dowling Catholic High School on May 30, 1986. He was employed at Siegwert Mfg. for the past two years. Mark enjoyed fishing, football, mushroom hunting, NASCAR and had a life-long love of the rock group KISS.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry D. “Wink” Kingery. He is survived by his mother, Sandy; his sister, Jody (Rory) Kingery-Peterson; his three nieces, Tiffany (Zack) Smith, Madison and Sidney Smith; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dowling Catholic School, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or Hope Ministries. God bless you all at Taylor House for your care and support.
