Adolph Breer Services To Be Today April 4th

Funeral services for Adolph Breer, 81 years old, will be held today (Wednesday) at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethany United Church of Christ. Pastor Harold Behle will conduct the services and burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Mr. Breer died Sunday at Marshalltown Community Hospital East.

Adolph Breer was born November 11, 1891 in Jasper County, the son of William Breer and Cecelia Wilsterman Breer. He was raised and educated in Marshall and Jasper Counties. On July 17, 1980, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Carolyn Sinkler. She died in 1930. (typed as written in obit) They farmed in Marshall and Jasper Counties. Sixteen years ago he retired and moved to Collins.

He was a World I veteran, and a member of Bethany United Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Breer of Baxter and Lloyd of Collins; one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Alice) Evans of Collins, 8 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Levi Breer of State Center and Herman of Nevada, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Schweinebart, who resides at Colonial Manors in Baxter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 daughters in infancy and one brother.

Organist will be Mrs. Leroy Allspach with the soloist Mr. Harold Behle.

Pallbearers-Darrell Dee, Otis Sumpter, Dale Wiley, David Pitcher, David Wiese and Richard Snyder. ~ The Baxter New Era, Wednesday, April 4, 1973
