D. H. McAdoo, 72, Dies at His Home in Prairie City

PRAIRIE CITY (Special) - D. H. McAdoo, retired farmer, died at his Prairie City home last night at the age of 72 from the effects of a hear attack suffered a week ago.

Mr. McAdoo was born near Pella, farmed most of his life near Runnels and lived in Prairie City the past six years. He is survived by his widow, the former Bertha Freel, and three children, Sam of Rockwell City, Ralph of Des Moines and Mrs. Bert Van Haalen of Prairie City.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at tow o'clock at the Runnells Christian Church, of which Mr. McAdoo was a member. ~ The Newton Daily News, August 1951
