Levi Deitrick, 77, a lifelong resident of Monroe, died Monday, August 10, 1992 at Pella Community Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 13 at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe, Dr. Thomas Bass, pastor of the Monroe Presbyterian Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery at Monroe.
Survivors are a stepson, Charles Kartchner of Colorado, several step-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Roush of Valencia, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Viola Ione; three brothers, Earl, Howard and Woodrow Deitrick; and two sisters, Ruth McCoy and Anna Garland.
Mr. Deitrick was retired from PAG seed in Monroe, and had been a farmer and carpenter.
The son of Charles and Jennie Vander Ploeg Deitrick, he was born May 7, 1915 in Monroe and was a graduate of Monroe High School.
He was married to Viola Ione Simbro Kartchner December 16, 1961 in Monroe.
