Karl Edward Herweh, 80, a longtime Prairie City resident, died Monday, January 20, 1992 at Clearview Manor.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 22 at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. The Rev. Al Kinrade, pastor of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church south of Prairie City, conducted the services. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Survivors are a son, Dick, of Des Moines; two daughters, Lois (Mrs. William) DeJoode of Runnells and Karlene Irvin of Iowa City; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Randall of Florida; and a sister, Mamie Walker of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Herweh was a longtime Runnells area farmer and cattle buyer. He moved to Clearview Manor five years ago.
The son of Frank and Dessie McCoy Herweh, he was born June 4, 1911 in Swan and was graduated from Swan Community High School.
