Rachel Ryke Kinart, 94, of Clearview Manor in Prairie City, a former longtime Monroe area resident, died Saturday evening, January 18, 1992 at the Manor.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 21 at the Monroe United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jerry McGee, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe handled arrangements.
Memorials to the Clearview Manor Activity Fund are being accepted.
Survivors are a daughter, June (Mrs. Keith) Sloan of Pella; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond, two brothers, Gerrit and Bill, and two sisters, Amy and Minnie.
Mrs. Kinart was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church.
The daughter of William and Gertie Toozenboom Ryke, she was born May 10, 1897 near Pella.
She was married to Raymond Kinart February 20, 1924 near Otley.
She had been a resident of Clearview Manor for the last eight years.
