Ethel Williams, 94, a lifelong Prairie City resident, died Monday, December 30, 1991 at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 2 at the Prairie City United Methodist Church. The Rev. Al Kinrade, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City handled arrangements.
Survivors are a daughter, Verda Louise (Mrs. Lester) Ingle of Iowa Falls; a son, Joe of Prairie City; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl, two sons, Hugh and Donald, a daughter, Betty, and two sisters.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Prairie City United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the KK Club, and the American and Iowa African Violet Societies.
The daughter of Harlan and Fannie Miller Main, she was born January 22, 1987 near Prairie City. She was a 1914 graduate of Prairie City Community High School.
She was married to Earl Williams March 22, 1916 in Des Moines.
