Dolores J. (Stewart) Kuhrt, 81, of Newton, formerly of Colfax, died on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Colfax Cemetery, 620 S. Walnut in Colfax. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Memorials to the American Cancer Society or to the Skiff Medical Center Foundation may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton, which is handling arrangements.
Survivors include her two daughters, Roxy (Kent) Gross and Toni (Doug) Morris; four grandchildren, Niki Gross, Alyse Morris, Cameron Morris and Rachel Morris; her great-granddaughter, Emersyn JoJean Gross; and sister, Helen Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley, in 1999; two brothers and a sister.

Dolores JoJean Stewart was born June 23, 1929. Dolores was a graduate of Colfax High School in Colfax, Iowa
Dolores loved having her family around to take care of and she loved to cook, especially for her family.
The family would also like to say, “Thank you!” to Tracie Lindholm for all of the care and love she has given to Dolores over the past few years.
