Dennis R. Fowble, 57, of Newton died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at his home in Newton.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be at the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa, at a later date. Memorials to the American Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home.
Dennis, the son of Junior Wesley and Ruth Arlene (Britt) Fowble, was born Feb. 5, 1953, in Atlantic, Iowa. He graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1971. He had built grain silos, was a carpenter in Texas and had also worked for the Maytag Company. He enjoyed fishing and boating and loved the blues. He was a member of the South Skunk Blues Society and had served as their president for five years.
Survivors include his parents, Junior and Ruth Fowble of Newton; his sister, Connie (Ron) Partlow of Urbandale; brother, Roger (Marge) Griffith of Audubon; and his nieces and nephews.
