Word has just been received that Dr. Miller of Baxter, died last Saturday. The funeral was held at the Congregational church at that place at 1 p.m. last Sunday. Mr. Miller was quite aged, being some 90 years old. He practiced medicine for over sixty years, and the most of his days were spent at Fort Wayne, Ind. About ten years ago he had a stroke of paralysis and from that time had been a cripple, as it was impossible for him to use one of his limbs, but he managed to get around and do some work. At one time he was quite wealthy, but of late years he had some misfortune and at his death was worth but little. He leaves his fourth wife and two children, a son that is an engineer on the C.R.I. & P.R.R., and a daughter about twelve or fourteen years old. The Masons, of which order he had been a member for over forty years took charge of the funeral services. The remains were laid to rest in the Independence cemetery two miles east of Baxter.
