Pamela A. Johnson, 39, of Newton, died Oct. 9, 2010, in the Monarch wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. A visitation with the family will be held from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials in Pam’s name are being designated to Hospice of Jasper County or Progress Industries.
Pamela was born August 24, 1971 in Augusta, Ga., the daughter of Randy A. Johnson and Kathy A. (Donlea) Johnson. She graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1992. Over the years, Pam lived in Penrose, Colo., Maquoketa, Marshalltown and Newton. She loved life, singing and the simpler things. She worked in workshops for Mid-Iowa and at Progress Industries.
She is survived by her mother, Kathy Johnson of Marshalltown, her father, Randy Johnson of Canon City, Colo., brothers and sisters-in-law Charles “Chuck” and Andrea Johnson and Rick and Stephanie Johnson, all of Marshalltown, a sister, Rebecca Daniels of Atlantic, Iowa, nieces and nephews, Ashlee, Taylor, Jessica, and Dominic and Andrew, her maternal grandmother, Mary Jo Donlea, and her many friends.
She was preceded in death by three of her grandparents.
