Burned to Death – A correspondent from Vandalia, writes us that on Monday last a young lady, daughter of B. J. Beebe, of that place, while kindling a fire in the stove, by some means, lighted her clothing. Finding she could not extinguish the fire, she ran to the street, where assistance was procured, but she was so badly burned, that, although everything was done to prevent it, she died in great agony in six hours afterwards, and was buried on Tuesday. In the endeavor to quench the flames, Mr. A. Castleman had his hands very badly burned, and a Mr. Murray was so much injured in the same way that he is confined to the house with his wounds.
