Former Area Residents Die

Funeral services for Dorothy W. Baker 69, formerly of Colfax, were held Wednesday May 10, at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines.

The daughter of Charlie and Eleanor Nelson of Colfax, she attended Colfax schools. She was united in marriage to Charlie Baker of Carlisle.

Surviving are three children; one daughter, Vivian of Panora and two sons, Paul of Audubon and Edwin of Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Sylvia) Shope of Greenfield, Mrs. Harvey (Frances) Brue of Newton and Edith Kennedy of Gillispe, Illinois and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Burial was in Audubon, Iowa. ~ The Jasper County Tribune, Colfax, Iowa, Thursday, May 18, 1978
