Sad Bereavement – Died at her residence in Galesburg, Iowa, May 31st, 1877, Tillie, wife of Moses Paul, aged 28 years.
Tillie Morgan came to Galesburg about two years ago to visit, and pass the winter with her only sister, Mrs. Theodore Hart. Her former home was in Carrollton, Ohio. During her visit she made the acquaintance of Mr. Paul, and afterwards, in August 1876, they were married.
They came to their new home and had scarcely passed ten months of their wedded life when Tillie was stricken down by the had of death.
Tillie, we miss you. The husband loses an affectionate wife, endeared to him by the strongest ties of love. Ah! We all remember those little acts of love, and those sweet smiles, tokens of her kindness.
Her death was as a dream, not a struggle, not a sigh, she gently breathed her life away. The relatives have the kindest sympathy of all the friends and neighbors. Let us remember that it is only a ruffle in God’s great plan, which worketh for good. Tillie, we part with you, knowing that our loss is your gain.
Wm. H. Morgan, her brother, of Carrollton, O., was present at the funeral service.
She was interred in the cemetery at Mount Zion Church.

The sudden, unexpected death of Mrs. Paul cast a gloom over our community. During her brief residence among us she gained many friends.
