BELLEVUE, Iowa - Services for Robert J. Reeg Sr., 70, 34600 High Bridge Road, Bellevue, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Donatus, with the Rev. Michael Zamzow officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Kingery-Gallagher Funeral Home, Bellevue, and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Mr. Reeg farmed several farms in the Bellevue area and moved to his present farm in 1958.

He was born on April 9, 1925, in Bellevue, son of William J. and Edna (Ernst) Reeg. He died Wednesday evening, Feb. 21, 1996, at Anamosa Community Hospital.

He married Darlene Schenk on Nov. 5, 1946, at St. John's Parish, St. Donatus.

He was a member of St. John's Parish, St. Donatus, where was a longtime councilman. He also was a member of the Maquoketa Valley Rural Electric Cooperative for 25 years, where he served on its board of directors.

Surviving are his wife, Darlene A.; two sons, Bob (Gi Gi) and Dale (Mary Sue), both of Bellevue; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Reeg and her husband, Steven Given, of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Mrs. Stan (Nancy) Gorski, of Manahawkin, N.J.; 11 grandchildren, Lisa, Katie, Jay, Pat, Jon, Adam, Alex, Elisabeth, Sabrina, Nathan and Nicholas; a great-grandson, Cole Reeg; two sisters, Mrs. Cletus (Arlene) Victor, of Bellevue, and Mrs. Norbert (Linda) Lampe, of Epworth; and five brothers, William (Marian) and Ed (Dorothy), both of Bellevue, Carlyle (Betty), of Monona, Perly (Katie) and LeRoy (Jeannie), of Dubuque.
