"DIED--Rachel Prindle was born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Oct. 20, 1834, and died near Buckhorn, Feb 18, 1907, aged 72 years 3 months 29 days. She was married to Henry Hill in 1854. To this union there were born ten children, eight of whom preceded her to the great Beyond. She became a member of the Congregational church while she resided in Delavan, Wis. Three survive to mourn the loss of a fond mother and wife the aged husband, two daughters viz. Mrs. David Liston, Apanoose N.D.; Mrs. Elizabeth Collins, Maquoketa; and one son, Albert, who lives with his parents in their home, also one sister, Mrs. Cynthia Bussell and three brothers, Jared of Maquoketa, Thomas of Nashua, Iowa; Alexander of Red Wing, Minn; survive. Funeral services were held in connection with those of her brother, Moses Prindle, at the Buckhorn church on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. and burial in the cemetery by the church. A large circle of acquaintances and neighbors were present to express their sympathy and give their help in time of need to the stricken families. Both bodies were lowered in the grave simultaneously. Rev. D.F. Boomershine officiated."
