"DIED--Moses Prindle was born near Plattsburgh, N.Y. Sept. 17, 1841 and after a short illness passed away Feb. 18, 1907 at this home near Buckhorn, aged 65 years, 5 months 1 day. He moved to Illinois with his mother, sisters and brothers in 1865 and came to Iowa about 35 years ago and resided in Jackson county until his death. He was married to Miss Shaffer and of this union four children survive, viz. Mrs. Amelia Liston, Mrs. Juliet Welsh, Mrs. Rena Wate and George, all of whom are in the old home with their families. His wife died on Jan. 31, his brother Henry who lived with him died Feb 8, his sister, Mrs. Hill, died the same day he did, while his son-in-law, Mr. Welsh, died Jan. 24, all of which together with his age was too much for his physical constitution and death soon claimed him. One sister, Mrs. Cynthia Bussell and three brothers, Jared of Maquoketa; Thomas of Nashua, Iowa; and Alexander of Red Wing, Minn., survive to see this family circle fast passing away. Mr. Prindle was a thrifty, hard working farmer, a good citizen, and a large circle of acquaintances who will miss his familiar face on the street and in the community. Funeral services were held in connection with those of his sister, Mrs. Rachel Hill, at the Buckhorn church on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. and burial in the cemetery by the church. A large circle of friends and neighbors were present to express their sympathy and give their help in time of need to the stricken families. Both bodies were lowered in the grave simultaneously. Rev. D.F. Boomershine officiated."
