IOWA FALLS-Donald Oliver Sudderberg, 70, of Iowa Falls, died Monday, June 24, 2002, at his home. Services were held Thursday, June 27 at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Iowa Falls with burial in St. Mark's cemetery. Father James Dubert officiated.

Donald was born June 28, 1931, at Boone to Lewis and Laura Newcomb Sudderberg. He attended Boone High School and on Feb. 23, 1952, he married Corine Phelan at Boone. They lived in Iowa Falls where he was employed as a plumber and was assistant city inspector. He retired in 1990. He enjoyed gardening, music, traveling and bird watching.

He is survived by his wife, Corine; three daughters, Cindi Boyd of Waterloo, Donna Wagner and husband Gary of El Paso, Texas, and Julie Rieks and husband Terry of Alden; three sons, Mark and wife Jane of Rockford, Ill., Matt and fiance Marla of Alden, and Denny and wife Teresa of Iowa Falls; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Violet Hatch of Ames, Irene Moeller and husband Virgil and Diann Sundall and husband Kenneth all of Boone; a brother, Kenny Sudderberg, of Carmichael, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Betty Sudderberg, of Cedar Rapids; a brother-in-law, Bob Parkyn, of Grants Pass, Ore. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William; two brothers; and three sisters.

Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls was in charge of arrangements.
