Michael Budde Sr.

March 16, 1945-April 19, 2002

TUCSON, Arizona - Michael Holt Budde Sr., 57, of Tucson, died of lung cancer, Friday, April 19, 2002, at the Veterans' Hospital Hospice in Tucson. Graveside military services were held Thursday, April 25 at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.

Michael was born March 16, 1945, in East St. Louis, Ill., to former Iowa Falls residents, Wilbur and Juanita Budde of Deming, N.M. Michael graduated from Chariton High School in 1963 and served in the United States Air Force 1964-72. He worked as a senior engineer for the SRS in Kansas City. In 1999 he moved to Tucson, where he was employed by Hoffman Steel Co., until disability forced his retirement last year.

He is survived by his mother, Juanita Budde of Deming; a sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Hal Campbell of Tuscon; a daughter, Michelle Koivista and family; and a son, Michael Jr. and family, all of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a niece, Sarah Neubauer and family of Alden; and a nephew, Matt Campbell and family of Tucson, Arizona.
