RADCLIFFE-Adelaide Tysdahl, 95, of Radcliffe, died Monday, April 15, 2002, at the Hubbard Care Center. Services were held Friday, April 19, at the Stavenger Lutheran Church in Garden City, with burial the Stavenger Church Cemetery. Pastor James Johnson officiated.

Adelaide was born March 3, 1907, to Arndt and Melinda Johnson Hauge of Radcliffe. She graduated from Radcliffe High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She taught rural schools in Sherman and Concord Townships. On Dec. 26, 1933, Adelaide married Clarence Tysdahl at her parents' farm home. They farmed north of Garden City. She worked at Bethany Manor in Story City for several years and after the death of her husband in 1973, she remained on the farm until 1991. She entered the nursing home in 1999.

She is survived by three daughters, Marilyn Rutzen and husband, Robert, of Iowa Falls, Elizabeth Stolee and husband, Orlen, of Radcliffe, and Joan Olson and husband, Jim, of Ames; three sons, Everett and wife, Barbara, of New Richmond, Wis., Alvern and wife, Cynthia, of Hubbard, and Larry of Ames; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Eric Tysdahl; a sister, Ethel Schwebke; her twin brother, Elmer, at birth; and a nine-month-old brother, Alfred.

Boeke Funeral Home of Radcliffe, was in charge of arrangements.
