Monday, December 30, 1985Eva Burnett, 73, Woolstock, died Saturday morning at the Hamilton County hospital. She had been in failing health the past 18 months.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral home with John Wearden officiating and with burial in the French cemetery east of Woolstock.
Eva Bernadine Claude, daughter of Walter and Lydia Schoenberger Claude, was born March 17, 1912 at Woolstock. She was educated in the Woolstock community and was graduated from Webster City high school. She later attended the Tobin Business college in Fort Dodge.
On Nov. 1, 1931 she was united in marriage to Ross H. Burnett at Jefferson. The couple resided in Webster City where she was employed at Monarch Industries and the Hamilton County hospital and also drove a Webster City school bus for 12 years.
The couple then moved to rural Woolstock.
She was preceded in death by her husband in November, 1976. From 1980 to 1984 she had resided at Sabetha, Kan., and was employed at the Sabetha Manor Care Center. She returned to Woolstock in November, 1984.
She is survived by two daughters and four step-children: Mrs. Gerald (Darlene) Caquelin, Woolstock, Mrs. James (Donna) Waldron, Sabetha, Kan., Mrs. Juanita Lewis, Woolstock, Mrs. Leola Vogt, Webster Groves, Mo., Don Burnett, Webster City and Ross Willard Burnett, Webster City; 35 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, two grandchildren, her parents and one brother.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
