Joan Ellingson Johnson, 71, Webster City, died Aug. 26, 2000 at the Israel House in Ames. The body was cremated and private family services will be held with a memorial service to be held at a later date at Country Kitchen. The family requests that there be no flowers. Memorials may be made to the family.

Joan Elizabeth Ellingson was born at McCallsburg and lived most of her adult life in Webster City. She was most recently a hostess for the Country Kitchen, formerly the Touchdown in Webster City. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and sang with the choir.

Survivors are her children, Cynthia Ostebee of Ames, Kevin Johnson of Bettendorf, Darla Jo Johnson, Denver, Colo., seven grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathan, Andrew, Sarah, Jennifer, Mitchell and Abigail, three sisters.
