Wednesday, August 16, 2000Marjorie June Pedersen, 79, Canyon, a former Ames resident, died Sunday, August 13, 2000 in Texas. Services were held at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel in Amarillo, Tuesday. Services in Iowa will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth with Rev. Michael Herschberger to officiate. Burial will follow at Homewood Cemetery in Ellsworth. Friends may call Wednesday evening at Becker Funeral Home in Jewell where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
Marjorie June Lindebak was born June 16, 1921 in Ellsworth to Omer Edgar and Anna (Lunning) Lindebak. She married Norman C. Pedersen in 1945 in Santa Anna, CA. She worked as a secretary. She was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church and Ascension Lutheran Church in Ames prior to moving to Amarillo ten years ago. She had resided in Canyon for the past three months. She was a member of the American Contract Bridge League.
Survivors are three sons, Mark and Jerrold Pedersen, both of Canyon and Ronald Pedersen, Amarillo; three grandchildren, Amy Renee, Eric Ryan and Laura Reagan Pedersen; five sisters, Quvie Miller, Jewell, Clarice Oakland, Story City, Lucille Cloud, Marshalltown, Alice Wilson, Hesperia, CA and Ethel Plasch, Ventura, CA.
