Norma Jean BOYDEN -Nov 18, 1929-22 June 1980-Services for Norma Jean Boyden, 50, who died of a brain tumor on Sunday at Hill Haven medicenter will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Glendale Cemetery. Mrs Boyden was born in Guthrie Co. She lived in Audubon Co, in Hawaii, and in Dover, Delaware, before moving to Des Moines, 11 years ago. She married 16 Feb 1973 to Ken Boyden and he preceded her in death May 31, 1974. Se also was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Marean, a brother, Allen Marean and a nephew, Michael Marean. A retired bank clerical worker, she also taught school in Guthrie and Audubon Counties. She was a member of the Faith Baptist church.

Survivors include her mother, Clarena Marean of Guthrie Center; two brothers, Donald Marean, and Robert Marean, both of Des Moines, and five sisters, Maxine Cunningham and Joyce Schaffer, both of Des Moines, Martha Gittins of Stuart, Irene Foshe of Coon Rapids, MN, and Marjorie kessler of Lawrenceville, GA.
