Funeral services for Elmer A. Marean were Friday at 2 at Bowman Chapel Church with the Pastor Edward Schaller officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A retired farmer, Mr Marean died Tuesday night [April 02, 1974] at his home in Guthrie Center. Survivors include his wife, Clarena; six daughters and two sons, Mrs Maxine Cunningham, Mrs Norma Boyden, Don Marean and Robert Marean and Mrs Joyce Schaffer all of Des Moines; Mrs Martha Gittens of Stuart, Mrs Irene Foshe of Coon Rapids, MN; Mrs Marjorie Kessler of Langford, SD; also 27 great grand children and 12 great grandchildren. Other survivors include three brothers, Kenneth of Casey and Howard and Dale of California and one sister, Mrs Lillian Washburn of Guthrie Center.
