Henry Family 1871 or 1873

Is there any source available to help me determine when my GGGrandfather lived in Hampton? According to his son's obituary, Allen C. HENRY (went by A. C. Henry) and his family moved to Hampton in either 1871 or 1873 (different year in each newspaper). A. C. Henry was a minister, so he could possibly have gone there to take over a church. They lived in Hampton for about 3 years. Two of his sons later married two HUNT sisters in Michigan. Thank you for any help.
