Grandfather information

I have a birth certificate for my grandfather, who was born in Rudd, IA, Floyd Co., on July 13, 1888 and was wondering if any other information could be found about him, or his parents and place of residence. His parents are listed as C.W. Cheever and Sophia C.VanGeek

I would appreciate ANY information you might have.
