The only thing I have been able to find at this time is an article from the Nashua newspaper about the accident. I think this is what you are referring to. I have copied it exactly as it was written. Did they mean Mrs. Stoner?
I don't think there has been 4th of July fireworks in Nora Springs since this happened.
The Nora Springs newspapers (which most likely had the obit) were destroyed up to 1918. (Story is an irate editor, angry at the town, did the dirty deed!) It may have appeared in the Mason City, IA, newspaper but I have no access to that online.Fatality at Nora Springs
Woman struck by sky rocket never regained consciousness.
Miss Clarence Stoner, 30 years old, died as a result of a fireworks explosion at Nora Springs. She was struck in the head by a rocket and never regained consciousness. A stand built fifteen feet high was loaded with fireworks which were prematurely discharged by a Roman candle from the ground. The two operators jumped. A terrific explosion followed. The stand fell and half a dozen were hurt, though none seriously.
