I am attempting to find out where Berener Nelson, my great grandmother's brother, lived near Elgin, Iowa in 1875. I have a picture of the home. The wedding of Lars Peterson and Marit Nelson took place at this home on July 9, 1875. The minister was from Clermont, IA.

I think an 1875 plat map of Elgin and the surrounding township of Pleasant Valley would help answer my question.
