In Response To: 1849 Oldenburg Trail from Indiana to Iowa (Dorothy (Riehle) Call)

My gg grandfather traveled to Iowa from Indiana between 1850 and 1856. He married in Iowa (Fayette Co.?) Lovina Piper (whole of half Indian) in 1856. Their first son, Sanford, was born in Dover twp., Fayette Co., then they returned to IN.
I used to live near Oldenburg. I did not know there was a wagon train trail from there to IA. Would appreciate any info you have.
I am unable to obtain any paper trail on my ancestors.
