In Response To: OBITUARY AND GRAVESITE (FRANCES ROCHFORD)

Hello,

I think you are asking about Daniel A. Thompson and wife Amelia. There are found on a series of census extracts in the Thompson surname file located at the Fayette County Genealogy Scoiety as recommended previously. I have a relative named Thompson who also lived in Waucomea for a time and so when I was able to visit in person I was able to get a copy of the whole surname file. Unfortunately I have discarded the material on Daniel since I found he was Norwegian and not English as my family was.

You are now able to find many of the same and more census records yourself on Familysearch.org. If I can find an online source for his death date, I will let you know. Once his death date can be established they have microfilmed newspapers which can be used to search for an Obit unless it is already in the Thompson surname file previously mentioned. He did die after 1920 since he is alive on the 1920 census. Best wishes
