Missing family member

My great grandparents, Michael and Antonia Gappa arrived from Poland in 1866 with their children, Frank 8 yrs, and Casimir 2 yrs. The 1870 census lists the family living in Windsor, Fayette County, Iowa, but Casimir is not listed and no fruther mention of him appears in records. I would like to find out what happened to him.
