My great grandfather, Michael Shortel lived most of his life in rural Dubuque, Iowa. After his wife Margaret died in 1891 he moved to Fayette County and married Mary Costello. Mary had a child from a previous marriage, Sarah who married ER Kimball. They had two sons I know of, John and George, Does anyone know of this family?
