I'm looking for any information on Fred L. Frakes. He lived all of his life in Oelwein, Fayette County, Iowa. What I don't know is if he married and had children. Would greatly appreciate any information on him. Stephenfrakes@yahoo.com
Fred L. "Freddy" FRAKES, born 12 Oct 1906, Iowa, son of L. Elmer and Flora (BUCK) FRAKES. He died Sep 1982. Last place of residence was Oelwein, Fayette County, Iowa.
On 21 Apr 1910, the census shows Freddy FRAKES age 3 living in Oelwein, Jefferson Township, Fayette County, Iowa with his widowed uncle George BUCK age 38; and his widowed grandmother Sarah BUCK age 65, born OH.
On 10 Jan 1920, the census shows Fred FRAKES age 13 living at 211 7th Avenue South, Oelwein, Fayette County, Iowa with his widowed grandmother Sarah BUCK age 77, born OH; and his widowed uncle George BUCK age 44, born IL.
On 3 Apr 1930, the census shows Fred L. FRAKES age 23 living on 13th Avenue SW, Oelwein, Fayette County, Iowa with his widowed uncle George T. BUCK age 55, born IL. Fred was a Chef at a Restaurant.
